Top Ten Tuesday – Potential Favorites

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. As a self-professed bibliophile and collector of books, this week’s Top Ten Tuesday gave me a pretty good chuckle. I immediately thought how do I even begin to answer this

Favorite Books Released In the Last Ten Years (one book for each year) (submitted by Anne @Head Full of Books)

For this week’s Top Ten Tuesday, I decided to tweak the prompt a little and go with TBR books released in the last 10 years that I hope will become favorites.

  1. 1Q84 by Haruki Murakami
  2. Girl in Translation by Jean Kwok
  3. The Buddha in the Attic by Julie Otsuka
  4. Saga Vol. 1 by Brian K. Vaughn
  5. Americanah by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
  6. Red Rising by Pierce Brown
  7. Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli
  8. Hillbilly Elegy by J. D. Vance
  9. City of Brass by S. A. Chakraborty
  10. Circe by Madeline Miller
  11. Black Leopard, Red Wolf by Marlon James

Saga made my list too – I’m surprised I didn’t see it on more lists. I had other books I was considering but as soon as I saw Saga, I was like…THIS. Nothing can touch it!

I agree with Sammie. This was a wonderful twist on this week’s prompt. I hope all of these books become your new favourites.

    My TTT.

I like your twist on the prompt! I haven’t read any of these yet myself, either, but I’ve heard such good things about Circe and can’t wait to pick it up! I’m also super excited about Black Leopard, Red Wolf. Hope you enjoy them when you get a chance to read them!

    Here’s my TTT post.

Americanah, Circe, and Hillbilly Elegy are all great reads. I can’t speak to the others, but it looks like you’ve got a great TBR list.
