I’m one of those people who have to have a plan. I have fun making plans. However, I am also one of those people who make plans and somehow quickly deviate from them.
Why? Who knows.
So, I’ve come up with another plan. Well, kind of.
As you know or even if you don’t know, I’m participating in the last TBR Triple Dog Dare dare. It’s a fairly simple reading dare. All you have to do from January 1, 2016 to April 1, 2016 is read what’s in your TBR pile as of midnight December 31st.
And here’s how my plan or pseudo-plan comes into play. Because I have more TBR piles than any normal human being should have, I’ve decided to choose the books I’m going to read and go a step further and map out my reading schedule. Mapping out my schedule is a must because I’m going to be super busy and there are days when I’m not going to have a chance to get much reading in.

My hold in hand books (my preferred method of reading).
Now, I already know the reality is reading 11 books in 13 weeks is more than likely not going to happen, but I remain hopeful that I’ll get it done or at least come pretty close to it.

Thanks for giving the TBR Dare a plug here. I loved Lone Ranger and Tonto. It’s a very good collections with several very funny stories as i recall. I also enjoyed Norwegian Wood. Whether you make through all eleven or not, have fun with The Dare.

Wow, you are going to be very busy! My TBR list mainly consists of non fiction which is handy because I can read some then leave it for a while and switch to something else. That’s not so easy with fiction – I would end up forgetting what happened or getting confused between books! X

Yep. Just a little bit busy. Maybe it’s because I was an English Lit major in college that I don’t get confused reading multiple novels simultaneously.. I don’t do that so much anymore, but when I do I tend to read books with vastly different plot lines.

I am really not a fan of e-readers. I do it sometimes out of necessity. You can travel with hundreds of books without the added weight. But I 100% much prefer a holding a book and turning pages.

Eleven books in 13 weeks would be too much of a challenge for me. I just dont have the time to devote to reading as much as I’d like. But hey why not give it a go. If you get just half way through it will be an achievement. I also have Norwegian Wood on my list.

Hi Karen, thanks for stopping by. I truly doubt I’ll be able to read them all, but I’m going to give it a good fighting effort. My goal is to read the books I received from publishers first then move on to the books I purchased.

You’ve really got your work cut out for you, but at least it’s a nice kind of work, right? I’m an avid reader too, but I love playing video games and blogging as well. So many choices, so little time! I always say I need one of Hermione Grangers time turners!

What a great group of books! I hope to read the Sherman Alexie during the Triple Dog Dare Challenge too – if I get it for Christmas! (I asked the husband for it, among other titles.)

I really enjoy Sherman Alexie. I picked up the Absolutely True Diaar of a Part-time Indian because it was one of the most challenged books because folks thought it promoted racism, bullying, and serial deviance. Well, maybe I’m cynical, but I didn’t get that from this book at all.
I hope your hubby does get an Alexie book or two. You’ll enjoy it.
