Books I Hope to Find Under My Tree
Winter is very nearly here and it has become painfully obvious that we will not have a white Christmas. Since I have a little break from classes, I’m going to cozy up with a few good books.
- Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller
- The Water Dancer by Ta-Nehisi Coates
- Red at the Bone by Jacquline Woodson
- Out by Natsuo Kirino
- Sulwe by Lupita Nyong’o
- Freshwater by Akwaeke Emezi
- Akata Warrior by Nnedi Okorafor
- On the Come Up by Angie Thomas
- Hitting a Straight Lick with a Crooked Stick by Zora Neale Hurston
- Saga, Vol. 2-9 by Brian K. Vaughan
Have you read any of these? Do you have any books with numbers in the title?
And, don’t forget to check out my Youtube channel.
I love the Saga graphic novels! And I really want to read The Song of Achilles.

We won’t have a white Christmas either. I think I’m okay with that as long as I can still cozy up with books, too! 😉

On The Come Up was really good! As far as numbers in the title go Gone in the Dark: One Woman’s Quest to Find The Golden State Killer was great, and I’m not even a fan of crime fiction!

The Song of Achilles is on my TBR shelf. I’m eager to read your thoughts on it.
