WWW Wednesday – Sept. 30th

I’m sure, I haven’t done a WWW Wednesday in years and I thought why not. I mean it’s not like I have extra time to read for pleasure with finishing my last two classes for graduation. But here we are.

So, how does WWW Wednesday work? It’s simple really. Just answer the following three questions.

The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

I did a buddy read with some Booktube buddies and really enjoyed it. It’s a space opera with queer characters, polyamory, a matriarchal society, a space beast, forbidden love, and more. It was a relatively quick read, but there are some instances in which you’ll want to slow down and just really enjoy the text.

I am currently reading Lovecraft Country by Matt Ruff for a book club I started with two other booktubers. I’m just a few pages in, but so far it’s enjoyable.

And, up next are two Frankenstein books. The original Shelley and a retelling. For the month of October my plan is to only read spooky or scary books. And I think these qualify. It’s been a couple of years since I last read Frankenstein and thought I’d reread it in pseudo preparation for Frankenstein in Baghdad. I am also buddy reading these.

WWW Wednesday is hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words, so if you want to join in follow the link to Sam’s blog and link up or post your WWW Wednesday in the comments.

Escaping Exodus sounds amazing – and the cover is gorgeous! I’m definitely curious about Lovecraft Country as well. Happy reading!
