Top Ten Tuesday – Most Anticipated 2nd Half of 2019

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. As a self-professed bibliophile and collector of books, this week’s Top Ten Tuesday gave me a pretty good chuckle. I immediately thought how do I even begin to answer this

Most Anticipated Releases of the Second Half of 2019

To be honest, I haven’t kept up with upcoming releases, but there are a few I’m looking forward to reading.

  1. The Bookish Life of Nina Hill by Abbi Waxman (Release Date 7/9/2019)
A book about a girl who works in a bookstore, loves to read and is forced to come out of her shell. Welp that’s me in a nutshell
  2. The Dragon Republic by R. F. Kuang (Release Date 8/6/2019)
Book 2 of The Poppy War Trilogy. It seems like there is going to be more drama
  3. The Memory Police by Yoki Ogawa (Release Date 8/13/2019)
You’d think I’d had enough of memory books after reading Recursion by Blake Crouch, but obviously not. For some reason, it’s a crime to remember
  4. Dear Haiti, Love Alaine by Maika & Maritza Moulite (Release Date 9/3/2019)
Alaine is a 17-year-old Haitian American who writes a school report that goes horribly wrong and finds herself “banished” to Haiti where she learns about family
  5. The Testaments by Margaret Atwood (Release Date 9/10/2019)
I wasn’t a fan of The Handmaid’s Tale but for some reason, I want to see where this goes
  6. Children of Virtue and Vengence by Tomi Adeyemi (Release Date 12/3/2019)
This is the second book in the Legacy of Orïsha Trilogy. Magic is back in Orïsha and there is a civil war brewing

  1. I totally forgot about The Bookish Life of Nina Hill! I’m looking forward to reading that one. 😀 I’m also loving the cover for Children of Virtue and Vengeance. It’s so pretty! I want a poster of it. Oooh, the Memory Police sounds really interesting, too! Hadn’t heard of that before, but it sounds like my type of book. :3

    Here’s my TTT post.
