Discussion: Brag About It

We all have that one book that we can’t stop raving about. That one book we recommend to everyone whether they like the genre or not. That one book that’s in tatters. That one book you dare not lend out for fear it will never be returned. That one book you want to be buried with.

I’d love it, if you shared what that one book is and why you love it. If you have more than one feel free to share them too.

I have a bunch of books I like to recommend, but each time someone asks me for a recommendation I default to . . .

Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë

Although not an accurate portrayal of my beloved Jane Eyre, I find it quite entertaining. I encourage you to check out Saturday Night Live‘s somewhat blasphemous take on this classic.

  1. I’m currently rereading Jane Eyre. I loved it since I was in university more than 10 years ago and this is my first time revisiting it since. 😀

I think my braggy book is always I Know Why the caged Bird Sings by Maya Angelou though. I’ve been a Maya Angelou fiend since I was a teenager and never shut up about any of her writing. I think I’ve lost the ability to read her work through unbiased eyes now lol.
